Tsarskoe Selo | 1918. The first tour in the Alexander Palace.
After the events of October decree of the Soviet government, Tsarskoe Selo palaces and parks were declared the property of the people. November 4, 1917 the first Commissar of Education, AV Lunacharsky issued an order:”On the affairs of the former Ministry of the court”, according to which employees of the Ministry of the court remain in place, the art-historical commission of Tsarskoye Selo, Gatchina and Peterhof continue research work on the preservation of the “high-value assets.” Exposure Alexander Palace Museum aroused great interest among the public, “for this walk for the past since the collapse of the Romanov, are accompanied by a lecture, is a marvelous illustration of the cultural history of the kings.”
